True confession: I was the QUEEN of of the mix tapes. Well, at least I thought I was. I was so giddy when I bought a boombox with side by side cassette player that could record from one tot eh other. Truly heaven to this awkward teen who lived through music and books. Boy, do I miss those days.

But then thanks to my sons, I found Spotify. The modern version of mix tape heaven for me.

Something fun that I want to try is adding more music to my (and your) world. So I will be adding playlists that will coordinate with blog posts or maybe they’ll just stand on their own for the heck of it.

This first playlist is a preview of a blog post I have coming up next week. I hope that you enjoy these classics from the late 1960’s/early 1970’s. These are songs that I created my world around. They were played on the radio or within album stacks on the turntable.

These songs were of a time before my parent’s divorced and a time I have very little memory but the songs…the songs I remember.

Hope you enjoy!

What songs would be on the mix tape from your childhood?
